Status | Completed |
Port of departure | Menai Bridge, United Kingdom |
Port of return | Menai Bridge, United Kingdom |
Purpose | Research |
Objectives | Objectives
1. To collect optical and hydrographic profiles in the Mersey Estuary. 2. To collect water samples to provide information on the specific inherent optical properties in these waters. Narrative Five stations were visited on the 25 March 2006 in the Mersey Estuary. The same five stations were re-visited on the 26 March 2006. At all stations, optical and hydrographic vertical profiles were collected, along with surface water samples. Parameters measured from the water samples were: Suspended Particulate Matter concentration, total pigment concentration, absorption spectra of dissolved organic matter, salinity, and absorption spectra of suspended particles retained on filters. |
