Narrative

The scientific staff joined FRV Alba na Mara at 1000 hours on 27 June and sailed from Fraserburgh shortly afterwards. Sampling began to the north east of Fraserburgh in statistical rectangle 45E8 and continued covering the North East coast management area grounds until bad weather forced Alba na Mara to seek shelter in Kirkwall on 1 July. Sampling recommenced 3 July and continued uninterrupted until the half landing on 6 July. After the half landing, Alba na Mara then went on to cover the East coast management area, which was completed on 12 July. Alba na Mara then returned to the North East management area grounds to complete stations missed on the first part of the cruise. On 15 July, Alba na Mara returned to Fraserburgh completing the cruise.
