ObjectivesThree separate trips using the two vessels, FV Sandra and FV St Richard: Trip 1: 3-8 March 1994, Trip 2: 31 March - 9 April 1994, Trip 3: 30 April - 5 May 1994

1) To compare catch rates of sole in fixed nets from different grounds in the Hastings Shingle Bank area
2) All commercial species caught were measured, and in addition soles were examined for sex and maturity stages noted.
3) Observations on the feeding of sole were also made.
4) Sea surface temperature was noted on all trips
