Description 
Summary

An array of current meter and thermistor chain moorings was deployed near 51 N, 7 W in the Celtic Sea during June and July 1984. In addition a series of CTD sections was performed over the Nymphe Bank at intervals of three to four weeks. Three cruises were conducted to deploy, monitor and recover the rigs. Good quality data were collected from the four thermistor chains, and out of a total of 33 thermistors only 4 failed. Five out of six Aanderaa current meters and current meter loggers performed satisfactorily. Of the vector averaging current meters, only the Suber gave good data throughout, but one week of data was collected from one of the two VMCMs.
