Objectives | BGS charter - Routine sampling
The main objective of the cruise was to continue the routine sampling of the surface sediments and Quaternary of the Little Minch/Great Glen, Sutherland and Sula Sgeir 1:250 000 map sheets. The previous leg had seen the development of the equipment and operating systems on British Enterprise Four and had started routine sampling of the aforementioned areas. With the season being later than usual, the aim was to carry out as much work as possible in the northwest before the onset of the autumn and winter weather. |
