| Objectives | The cruise is part of the ICES International Herring Larvae Surveys 2005. Gear used: plankton sampler ("Nackthai"). The samples are taken on a standard grid (stations are 10 nm apart). Additional sampling is intended to get information on the vertical and horizontal stratification of zoo- and ichthyoplankton. For this purpose an optical sampling device is used (Ichthyoplanktonrecorder, IPR). Some larvae should be collected for biochemical analyses by bongo net. |
