| Objectives | Sustainable management of fisheries resources in an ecosystem approach. Constitution of time series of abundance indices for the major commercial species in the North Sea and English Channel. (Assessment of major commercial fish stocks). Calculation of the index for larval herring and sprat. Characterisation of areas and habitats of winter spawning in the North Sea. Study of benthic invertebrate assemblages from observations obtained by bottom trawl. Study of hydrological, phytoplankton and zooplankton compartments. Recording acoustic data to improve the calculation of abundance indices. Observation of birds and marine mammals.
