| Objectives | 1. To assess the amount of movement of the radioactive tracer that had occurred since its release on an earlier cruise (Edward Forbes 8/76).
2. To use the box corer to determine the sedimentological variation of the sea bed occurring with depth in: (a) an area of one square kilometre (b) along 2 lines of section, one parallel and other at right angles to the shore. (c) a T-shaped series of sites west of Swansea Bay on behalf of the University College of Wales, Swansea, in conjunction with their IOS Research Contract. |
