| Objectives | Objective
To deploy a series of moorings with attached dhan buoys (10 surface), acoustic release systems (21 subsurface) and recording devices as part of the east coast marine mammal monitoring programme. Procedure Scientific equipment will be loaded on to Alba na Mara on Tuesday 13 May. After scientific staff have joined, the vessel will sail from Fraserburgh on the morning of the 16 May. The order in which the moorings will be deployed will be weather dependent and in consultation with the master. Accurate mooring position records will be maintained throughout the survey. Once all moorings have been deployed, Alba na Mara will return to Fraserburgh to unload scientific crew and remaining gear on 20 May. |
