| Purpose | Research |
| Objectives | The main objective is to take part in the IBTS, International Bottom Trawl Survey, coordinated by ICES, which estimates indexes for fish species, such as cod, whiting, haddock, saithe, herring, mackerel, and select invertebrates. Survey also includes an acoustic survey for saithe (used in the North Sea saithe assessment), a hydrographical transect (Utsirea to Start Point), sampling for process/larval studies, and monitoring of chemical contaminants, including radionuclides, in sediments, seawater and marine organisms (fish tissues). If time allows, a second hydrographic transect will also be attempted: Hanstholm to Aberdeen. |
