Objectives1. To continue the study of seabed mobility in the Start Bay area using:
(a) Shipborne survey methods.
(b) Diver measurements.
2. To obtain tidal data to the East of the Skerries Bank for the period of month using an IOS (Bidston) offshore tide gauge.
3. To carry out acceptance trials of the Decca Transponder Microwave position fixing system.
4. To obtain tidal stream data in the Bristol Channel for the period of a month using the Marconi current meter system.
5. To continue trials with Rangemaster relative position fixing system.
6. To relay the Start Bay Wave Rider Buoy.
7. To relay the Eddystone Wave Rider Buoy.
8. To carry out drilling rig site surveys in the English Channel on behalf of the Institute of Geological Sciences (Leeds).
