PurposeResearch
Objectives1st research cruise for the project AlterECO. The aim of the project is to deploy autonomous vehicles in the North Sea in order to demonstrate long term monitoring capability of ocean health. This particular cruise involved the deployment of 1 slocum and 1 seaglider, as well as one calibration CTD. The gliders were deployed ~50miles from the coast (restrictions of vessel) and then travelled ~120km to station.
