Objectives1977 Drilling Programme.

The main purpose of the first leg of the cruise was to study the Quaternary sequences of the North Sea in the area of Forties and Brent.

Boreholes at 3 sites (77/75, 77/79, 77/80) were drilled to total depth - 2 boreholes (77/75 & 77/79) logged using a natural gamma probe.
