PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThe aim of the project is to deploy autonomous vehicles in the North Sea in order to demonstrate long term monitoring capability of ocean health.

This particular cruise recovered slocum glider named Cook unit 194 and deployed slocum glider named Stella (unit 436) and seaglider named Melonhead SG620 for the project AlterECO. The gliders were deployed 50 miles from coast. CTD calibrations were taken for S, T, Chl, nutrients and DO.
