| Objectives | Objective
To undertake a smolt trawl survey in the outer Moray Firth, and elsewhere off the Scottish east coast, including offshore from the Firths of Tay and Forth. Procedure All trawl gear, video-frame, fish-lift aquarium (if delivered from Norway) and scientific equipment will be transported to Fraserburgh and rigged aboard the MFV Sunbeam on 7 May. The vessel will sail on 10 May and make passage to commence the smolt survey on the Scottish east coast or, if the weather is unfavourable, in the Moray Firth area. The survey will finish in Fraserburgh during the evening 19 May with all staff and fishing gear/scientific equipment returning to the Marine Laboratory on 20 May. |
