| Objectives | Assess the stock of Northeast Atlantic mackerel by swept area trawl survey method (International Ecosystem Summer Survey in the Nordic Seas, IESSNS) in July 2020. Five parties (Iceland, Faroes, Norway, Greenland and Denmark) with six vessels take part in the survey, coordinated by the Working Group of International Pelagic Surveys (WGIPS) in ICES. The aim is to use the results in the assessment of mackerel whiting by the Working Group on Widely Distributed Stocks (Blue Whiting, NEA Mackerel, horse mackerel, and Norwegian spring spawning Herring) [WGWIDE] in August 2020. |
