Port of departureHafnarfjörður, Iceland
Port of returnHafnarfjörður, Iceland
PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThe SYNERGY cruise aimed to collect concurrent datasets on physics, prey and seabirds to investigate biophysical mechanisms underlying seabird foraging decisions. A combination of CTDs, Echosounders, Pelagic Trawls, Demersal Trawls and observers were used to collect these datasets. Analysis will focus on underdstanding how physical conditions influence prey behaviour and distribution, and how prey behavuour and distribution influence seabird foraging decisions.
