| Objectives | 1) To investigate the engineering performance of a high lift, 3 bridle trawl, using underwater TV equipment using Laboratory divers.
2) To compare the efficiency and performance of the Polyvalent and standard flat boards when fished with the four panel trawl, vinge trawl and 3 bridle trawl Engine trouble on the 23/03/1978 forced the ''Explorer'' to proceed to Leith for repairs, and it was back on station in the Moray Firth on the 28/03/1978. The ship returned to Aberdeen to disembark the diving team and load instruments for the second part of the cruise. |
