The Technicon Anaylser was run continuously throughout the cruise to provide surface silicate data. Phytoplankton sedimentation samples were collect for Dr Gillbricht, Kiel, for comparison with chlorophyll data and with carbon-14 estimates of production. Deep water microbiological studies were carried out by Dr Munro in the centre of the channel between Rockall and St. Kilda |
