Purpose | Research |
Objectives | 1. To carry out a fishing survey, principally for mackerel, scad and pilchard but taking particular note also of blue whiting, hake saithe, monkfish and megrim.
2. To obtain samples of whole mackerel from each area for studies of stock separation by parasites by Dr. McKenzie (Aberdeen). 3. To obtain mackerel tissue samples for Dr Jamieson's stock separation studies. 4. To obtain otolith samples to supplement the regular commercial vessel sampling programme. All the aims were successfully completed. |
