| Objectives | 1. To carry out a survey for herring larvae in the western part of the Central North Sea as part of the international survey of the distribution and abundance of autumn spawned herring larvae in the North Sea and adjacent waters.
2. To make an acoustic survey between the north Norfolk coast and the Dogger Bank for herring using a midwater trawl for trace identification. 3. To continue tests of different fixative concentrations and methods and their effect on herring larvae shrinkage. |
