Leg 3:
Following on from an earlier geophysics programme the present cruise (the second of four planned cruise legs in the area) was aimed at obtaining both samples and cores, including rock cores. The data will be used in the preparation of the IGS bottom sediments, Quaternary and 'Solid' reconnaissance geology maps.
