PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThe purpose of this cruise was to extend work already carried out in the Porcupine Bank and Porcupine Bight area by Discovery in 1966. One refraction line to be shot to look at sediment thickness at the Bight limited to 30miles long. A second line shot in deeper water to obtain Moho arrivals. Propose to carry out reflection profiling with an airgun. Extend previous gravity and magnetic sureveys over the Bank.
