| Objectives | The main objective was to obtain an network of closely space geophysical runs in St. George's Channel with bottom samples. It was intended to obtain from the geophysical survey a 3D picture of the superficial cover and the patterns of the sea bed sediment movement. Collect samples of the sea bed on a grid pattern using dredges and grabs principally to study sediment type. Obtain box cores as part of a programme to study geotechnical properties of the boulder clay and recent sediments.
Secondary objectives were: to make a gravity survey of Tremadoc bay; to make a sparker traverse; to make geophysical runs; to collect bottom samples |
