PurposeResearch
ObjectivesThis was the third of four scheduled mooring cruises planned for this experiment. The purpose of this cruise was to recover and redeploy five surface moorings deployed in February 1992 as part of the ONR funded ASTEX and Subduction experiments. In conjunction with the mooring work, a series of 59 CTD stations were made and water samples taken to be analysed for tritium levels, salinity and dissolved oxygen content. Hourly XBTs and meteorological observations were also made.
