| Objectives | 1. To undertake towed sledge and "drop frame" underwater television surveys at selected locations within the North Channel, the Firth of Clyde and the northern Irish Sea, to complement the side-scan sonar investigations undertaken during FRV Clupea Cruise 0796C.
2. To undertake a pulse induction survey at selected locations, to complement the towed sledge underwater television survey. 3.To undertake a magnetometer survey at selected locations, to supplement the magnetometer studies undertaken during FRV Clupea Cruise 0796C. 4. To undertake a limited seabed sediment sampling survey within the North Channel and northern Irish Sea, to collect samples for particle size and chemical analyses. 5. To undertake towed sledge underwater television surveys within the Sound of Mull and Inner Sound munitions disposal sites. 6. To undertake a limited seabed sediment sampling survey within the Inner Sound munitions disposal site, to collect samples for particle size and chemical analyses. |
