1. To carry out commercial gear handling trials with centrally hinged polyamide grids (Eurogirds).
2. To obtain selectivity estimates for whitefish grids with 25mm, 30mm and 35mm bar spacing and 100mm cod-ends.
3. To obtain videofilm of deck handling procedures

The vessels entered Lerwick to change gear on the 2 February, bad weather kept them there till the 5 February, when work was resumed on the Forty Mile ground.
