|Objectives||The Traacs analyser was used to analyse the clean sea water supply, taking samples at 6 minute intervals in the North Channel. In the middle of the North-West Irish Sea the Traacs was used to obtain a full set of chemical analyses from the surface water, despite strong winds and heavy seas.
A good set of near shore surface water chemistry was obtained, running the Traacs analyser from the mouth of Carlingford Lough to Belfast Dock. Water temperature and salinity were logged using the WS Oceans salinometer.
