Measurements
Physical oceanography
CTD stationsQuantity: number of stations = 27
Description: FSI mini-conductivity, temperature and depth profiler attached to plankton sampler. Profiles used to identify environmental parameters.
Subsurface temperature and salinity measurementsQuantity: number of stations = 9
Description: Samples of surface sea water collected for analysis onshore of conductivity/salinity
Biology and fisheries
ZooplanktonQuantity: number of stations = 27
Description: 'Gulf VII - type' towed plankton sampler, deployed in a 'V' shaped profile from surface to near bottom and back to surface. Zooplankton and eggs/larvae collected using 270 um and 80 um mesh nets and preserved in formalin for analysis on shore. Volume of water filtered is calculated from data recorded by self-logging flowmeters.
