To survey sites in the central and northern North Sea with side scan sonar in an attempt to locate new areas for the study of fishing impacts. Completed in full. 4. To collect fish and benthic invertebrate species for stable isotope analysis. Completed for demersal fish, but not for pelagic fish due to the reliability of information provided by the Scanmar system being too poor to allow the net to be fished in the standard way. |
