PurposeResearch
Objectives1. Make measurements of the mass-specific optical properties of the water column on both sides of a front, in order to determine the difference that stratification and mixing make to the underwater light field.
2. Take water samples and optical measurements hourly over a tidal cycle at one point, northwest of Anglesey, in order to determine what level of variability in the underwater light field is due to tidal action and to what extent satellite monitoring of the water column needs to account for tidal action.
