| Objectives | To carry out a standard 4 metre beam trawl survey in the Eastern Channel and Southern North Sea to obtain estimate of abundance of commercial flatfish.
Additional aims include: 1. Identification and quantitative estimation of epibenthic organisms at designated sites. 2. Collection of raja tissue samples for genetic analysis. 3. Collection of selected commercial fish species for analysis of otoliths. 4. Collection of live plaice from various locations for fecundity experiments. |
