ObjectivesMain objective of this cruise was the deployment of 13 moorings across the eastern and mid North Atlantic Ocean (between 24° and 28° N approximately). Subsequent testing of new Discovery winch system on station in western North Atlantic Ocean, followed by an eight-cast CTD section of the Florida Current. The last two days of the cruise were largely devoted to carrying out ADCP surveys, initially across the Florida Current, and finally, the New Providence Channel. This latter survey transect was completed less than five miles from Freeport, Grand Bahama, where the cruise ended.
