Purpose | Research |
Objectives | To study bioturbation off the Cumbrian coast at Sellafield. This work is to involve:
1. Photographic and TV observation of selected areas. Accomplished 2. Quantative surveys of burrow systems using a resin cast technique. Accomplished 3. Sampling of selected species of benthic animals. Due to the fragile nature of the tubes, this objective was failed. Despite plentiful numbers of the animals, no complete specimen was obtained. |
