| Objectives | Aim:
Survey of the Nephrops and prawn (Pandalus borealis) grounds off the Northumberland coast. Narrative: Adverse weather delayed TELLINA's arrival at North Shields from Grimsby until the 5 February. The scientific staff joined the ship on the 6 February but persistent strong to gale force winds confined TELLINA and most of the commercial vessels in North Shields. With no foreseeable change in the weather the cruise was terminated on the 11 February without TELLINA getting to sea at all. |
