2) Trials of the new design of detachable codend
3) The haddock from 1 haul were used for a digestion experiment, and the stomachs preserved for subsequent laboratory analysis.
4) Live fish in good condition were collected for the aquarium during the cruise
Owing to an unsatisfactory forecast, sailing was delayed till the 01/08/1969. On the 26/07/1969 ''Explorer'' made an overnight call at Kirkwall, fishing resumed on the 27/07/1969. |
