Objectives1) A short intensive plankton survey was carried out to examine more closely the area where blue whiting larvae were most abundant on the first part of the cruise
2) Fleets of creels were laid
3) Trawling and work on a series of vertical hauls with a closing plankton net was done
4) Chimaera montrosa was collected for later toxic property investigation
5) Ovaries from species in hauls were taken for fecundity estimation
6) A number of less common species were collected to for the investigation of sound-producing musculature
7) A trawling survey to investigate the distribution of lobsters and other large crustaceans at Rockfall was done
8) An Echo-sounder survey was undertaken to identify bottom and mid-water traces

Mr J.A Graham joined the ship at Stornoway. The ship left Rockall Bank on the 20/04/1969 where Captain Baxter left the ship in Stornoway. It remained there till the 22/04/1969 due to gale force winds in the area and Aberdeen was reached on the 23/04/1969.
