Objectives1) Coastal Survey
2) Samples of grabs and dredges were carried out in Dales Voe, Lax Voe, Wabister Voe, and Voe off Cullingsburg
3) Temperature, biological and water samples were taken
4) A trial run was made with the echo-sounder, and experimental hauls were made with the 6 ft clam dredge where the nature of the ground was unknown
5) The records from the echo sounder were reported to the laboratory and the traces were kept.

The ship arrived in Lerwick on the 26/09/1962 and was delayed due to adverse weather conditions until the 03/10/1962. On the 08/10/1962, the ship set sail for Yell, but had to return to Lerwick because of thickening fog. The ship put into Lerwick again on the 12/10/1962 departing on the 15/10/1962. Unsuitable weather conditions curtailed further work.
