ObjectivesJoint survey between: FV Avon Valley, FV Challenger, FV Janet M, FV Jo's Boys, FV Our Tracey, FV Sharowna, FV St Richard, FV Our Sarah Jane and FV Provider.

1.To carry out an inshore beam trawl and pushnet survey of part of the North Sea and English Channel coasts, of young demersal fish in relation to the environment.
2. To include collecting data for juvenile flatfish year class size estimation.

Team 2: Beam trawl survey in the north Thames area 9th and 12th-13th September. Pushnet sites sampled throughout the period 5th-25th September.

Results:
1. In total throughout the survey 330 hauls using the standard 2m beam trawl and 43 pushnet sites using the standard 1.5m pushnet were sampled. All fish caught were identified and measured. Surface salinity, temperature, sediment samples and benthos were measured at each station. Shrimp by-catch was recorded at each station. Observations of dissolved oxygen levels and turbidity made at most stations in the Thames estuary and at all stations in the River Thames.
