Description
Summary

The main objective is the fisheries study of the commercially most important species around Madeira: black-scabbard, horse mackerel, mackerel, crustaceans, cephalopods and tuna fish. Biological studies, mainly on reproduction and growth, fishery, rentability, catch effort and stock assessment are carried out. These studies are based on biological and statistical data on the above mentioned species. The data is obtained through a sampling regional plan.
