Description
Summary

The studies carried out over the intertidal and subtidal benthic communities showed that several benthic species might play a key role in their structure and functioning. Echinogammarus marinus (amphipod crustacean), Cyathura carinata (isopod crustacean) and Amage adspersa (polychaete) were studied with regard to their life history, dynamics, and production in relation to the environmental factors in the Mondego estuary ecosystem.
