Description
Summary

The circulation of the deep water mass in the western Albornan Sea was studied. Interaction between the three different water masses, the Atlantic, the Levantine and the Deep Western Mediterranean water, causes complicated flow patterns. Instruments are calibrated and intercalibrated on a regular basis in the SACLANTCEN. Derivation of salinity and density values from temperature and conductivity is carried out according to UNESCO standard algorithms. Standard meteorological observations complete the station records.
