Description
Summary

Since 1991 the surveys have been annual, following ICES recommendations for Standardised Disease Monitoring. Otherwise, earlier less detailed surveys were made, usually in conjunction with CEFAS cruise work. Dab have been the main target fish species model for recording and comparing trends in disease prevalences. Diseases of other commercial fish were recorded when sufficient samples were obtained. Raw disease data are recorded on Station Sheets, with summaries of disease prevalence distribution on maps. Most data have been forwarded to ICES for inclusion in the ICES Environmental Databank, or presented in Aquatic Environmental Monitoring Reports, published papers and other articles.
