D) To obtain CTD profiles and water samples at the Coastal Observatory sites.

The cruise is the 47th in a series starting in August 2002 to maintain the moorings in objective (A+B) and to steam round a CTD grid in Liverpool Bay / the eastern Irish Sea, objective (D).
