| Objectives | Aims
1. Service SmartBuoys at Warp and West Gabbard 2. Service EAOW landers, and guard buoys at several sites 3. Service SmartBuoy at Dowsing 4. Service West Gabbard wave rider 5. Service FerryBox and install new sampler unit 6. Trial SPIs and NIOZ before NSGFS 7. Complete ADCP survey at AWAC3.1 and 4.1 Plan Sail 00:30 Sunday 28 July. The plan is to sail overnight to the Warp SmartBuoy. A water sample will be collected via CTD rosette before breakfast, then the SmartBuoy will be recovered and a replacement deployed. Another water sample will be collected afterwards. After a 6 hour steam to the West Gabbard SmartBuoy the procedure will be repeated. The waverider at West Gabbard will also be serviced. We should be moving the West Gabbard array back its original location and we may need to deploy guard buoys (tbc). After an overnight steam to the Dowsing, the SmartBuoy will be serviced after breakfast on the 29th. Endeavour will then proceed to AWAC 4.1. in the afternoon where the minilander will be serviced along with water and sediment samples. The guard buoys will be serviced at this site. A 12hr ADCP survey will be undertaken overnight before moving to AWAC3.1 where the minilander will be serviced and water and sediment samples collected. A 12hr ADCP survey will also take place at AWAC 3.1. SPI camera and NIOZ corer trials will take place in a suitable mud patch at some point during the cruise. Endeavour will return to Lowestoft after visual checks of DWR E and DWR C to dock at approx 15:00 on Wednesday 31st July. |
