The Endeavour sailed 07:30 Tuesday 3rd December and headed directly to the waverider at DWR "C" which was successfully serviced before moving to moving directly to AWAC 3.1. where a CTD cast was collected before the minilander was recovered. Moving swiftly back to DWR 'E' to make the most of daylight the waverider was recovered, then the guard buoy. Returning once again to AWAC 3.1 the two guard buoys were recovered before day grab sediment samples were collected and a multibeam survey of the site. The BRUVs camera system was deployed from the side gantry overnight before moving to AWAC 4.1. On Wednesday morning the minilander and waverider (DWR 'F') were recovered. One guard buoy was missing but the other one was also recovered successfully. This site was also multibeamed before leaving.
The wayward Southwold waverider was recovered at 18:30 and Endeavour continued to West Gabbard to attempt to service the SmartBuoy but the tide was too strong to hold on DP. A CTD rosette cast was undertaken whilst drifting. On Thursday morning another attempt was made but the wind had increased to 40kts and the DP would not hold without the prop in. We headed down the Thames to the Warp SmartBuoy. CTD rosette water samples were collected while on DP before the SmartBuoy was successfully serviced. A second cast was undertaken and 3 day grabs collected to help calibrate the passive samplers.
Endeavour headed towards Lowestoft but it became apparent that the storm surge would make it impossible to get into harbour so the ship stayed off Orford Ness dodging all night. On the morning of the 6th December the two minilanders deployed for BEEMs were collected.
Endeavour returned to Lowestoft to disembark the scientists via pilot cutter by 17:00
