| Objectives | The objective of this cruise was to participate in the JONSDAP expedition by:
(1) Deployment of instruments to measure variations in tidal height at five stations and currents at two of these stations between NE Scotland and the Norwegian coast. (2) Work an E-W CTD section along 59° 20 min N between the northern tip of the Orkneys and the Norwegian coast. (3) Measure surface temperature salinity using a continuous sampling unit along the CTD section and during passage through the North Channel and the Pentland Firth. All objectives were accomplished. |
