| Objectives | The main objectives of this leg was:
Studies of the composition and distribution of zooplankton and microplankton. On this leg much of the time was spent on setting up, calibrating and repairing the various equipment and instruments. 6 stations were occupied with profiling transects run between them. At the stations diurnal Longhurst-Hardy-Plankton-Recorder series were carried out along with vertical profiling and plankton sampling. |
