ObjectivesTo carry out an acoustic survey for Herring in ICES area VIA(N). Vessel departed 10/07/98. Calibration at Loch Eriboll on 11/07/98. Survey commenced in North Minch on 11/07/98. Zig-zag transects at 15 nmiles spacing through Minch proceeding south to 56 degrees N. Parallel transects thereafter at various spacings according to historical data. Proceeding north to 60 degrees N. Calibration on 27 July after end of survey. Return to Fraserburgh 28/07/98
