| Objectives | The cruise is part of a research project where the aim is to develop resource- and environmental friendly purse seine technology. Mainly the studies on this cruise include testing of new methodology for careful and gentle slipping of herring and filming of the herring during the process, taking samples of the herring in the purse seine during the hauls with the newly developed line thrower, measure sinking speed of the purse seine and testing of equipment attached to the purse seine during night hauls. |
